In the Verse Kit Box:
One 5 inch beach ball

Context for Lesson:
Jude is the next-to-last book in the Bible; it’s just before Revelation. It only has 1 chapter, therefore the reference looks funny (chapter 1 is implied when it is the only chapter in the book. It’s similar to an implied “you” in language arts, like when your mother says “Take out the trash” and you are the only one in the room).
The “Him” in the first line is referring to Jesus, and He is able to keep us from falling [into temptation]. He is also able to present you faultless to God when you have believed in Jesus as your Savior and that He died on the cross for your sins, and that He came back to life 3 days later because He’s God.
Vocabulary Words:
Present means to show. It is pronounced differently than, per se, a Christmas present. 100% of my Verse Kit kids struggled with pronouncing this word.
Faultless means without mistake (avoid the word flawless; if you use it the student will struggle to NOT use flawless when reciting the verse)
Kit:
Just like the ball hovers over the fan, and does not fall, Jesus is able to keep us from falling into temptation when we believe Him as our Savior. Remember, the temptation itself is not sin. EVERYONE (including Jesus!) was tempted. It’s what you do with the temptation that determines whether or not you are sinning. The best way to avoid the temptation is to quote Scripture (that’s what Jesus did!). That’s why Scripture memory is soooo important, and why we do Verse Kits!
Enjoy the experiment!
Bible Literacy:
Help your student find Jude 24 in his or her Bible. Underline or highlight it.
