Hebrews 13:5 Verse Kit

In the Verse Kit Box:

Review:

Lesson:

After catching up with your student on how their life is going, introduce the verse by reading the reference and the verse out loud (try to use a “God-voice” when you read the words He says!) while they follow along. Talk briefly about the last half of the verse, and how God never leaves us/is omnipresent (this will tie into the object lesson later).

Have the student read through the entire verse, and then direct them to just memorize the first half before you do review. Have them read Hebrews 13:5a out loud twice, and then try to say it without looking. Encourage them when they are done!

Do the review (pictured above).

Use the word OMNIPRESENT as a segue back to your verse. Use the paper from the kit and explain the Latin word OMNI means ALL. Read through the paper, then go back to the verse card.

Read the whole verse out loud, and have the student do the same. Then have them read the second half of the verse twice and try to say it without looking. Help where needed, or have them read it again.

Before having them say the whole verse, have them read it out loud again. Then have them say it without looking. Regardless of how they do, lavish them with encouragement–this is a fairly long verse!
