In the Verse Kit Box:

Review:

Lesson:
Read through Revelation 12:11 twice. Explain that the pronoun “him” is referring to Satan (see v 9&10) and that “the blood of the Lamb” is talking about Christ’s death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Discuss “the word of their testimony” and how sharing what Jesus has done for us IS our testimony!
So, the verse could read: We triumph over Satan by Christ’s death on the cross and by telling our testimony!
TRIUMPHED is a hard word because we don’t use it very often. Talk about battles in the Old Testament, and how they would blow their horns when they had won a battle.
Read the verse again, and have the child read it out loud, or repeat it after you. Use hand motions if that would help: blowing a horn (Line 1); cross (Line 2); a hand talking (Line 3); and fingers walking (because Jesus is part of our everyday life, and that’s what a testimony is about-Line 4).
Kit:
A tiny horn! (If they don’t work with little fingers, try “punching” it on a tabletop.)

Bible Literacy:
Help your student find Revelation 12:11 in their Bible and highlight it. Read it out loud together.
