In the Verse Kit Box:
Mini trumpet (flowers not included!)

Review:

Lesson:
Actions for the verse are below:
- Read through the verse, just the bold print lines
- Point to the NT books of the Bible verse card and show which book this verse is found in.
- Read through the verse again, pointing to the words, being sure to include the reference.
- Talk through the actions as you demonstrate, then say the verse while you do the actions.
- Have your student read the verse, doing the actions.
- If your child is old enough, discuss what this verse means: I believe it’s referring to the Rapture, which I believe takes place just before the Tribulation. The Tribulation is the 7 years at the end of time. The first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation is filled with peace, and there is a one-world ruler that gets a lot of credit for this peace, but he winds up making himself out to be god and the last 3 1/2 years are horrible, comparable to Hitler and WWII and all the atrocities that took place then, but during the Tribulation it is worldwide. But I believe the Rapture takes place just before the 7 years of Tribulation, and the verse says that the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with the trumpet call of God (a literal trumpet!) and the dead in Christ, meaning Christians who have passesd away, will have their bodies rise up out of the ground or the ocean and will go up into the sky to meet Christ. They will rise first. THEN, we who are saved (who believe that Jesus is our Savior and that He died on the cross for our sins as our substitute, paying the penalty for our sins, and that He rose 3 days later because He’s God) then we who are saved will…let’s just say Jesus was to come tonight, because we don’t know when this will happen! It could be tonight! If it was to happen tonight while we are sleeping then we who are saved will go from our beds up into the air like we’re flying (!) and will meet Jesus in the air also!
- Read the verse again while all the information above soaks into their brains!
- Do review, doing the NT books last so it’s an easy segue into the verse again.
- Have the student read the new verse again, doing the actions.
- Have them try to say the verse without looking but doing the motions.
- Always congratulate them on how good they did tonight!
- Somewhere in this conversation, make sure to find out how summer vacation is going/what they did over the weekend/etc. Follow up on any small talk you had last week.
